2017 Lexus LC 500: A Jaw-Dropping 467-horsepower Luxury Coupe

When Lexus first unveiled its LF-LC concept back in 2012, it dropped jaws with its impressive, swoopy GT coupe design. Turns out, that concept was not just a design. Meet the 2017 Lexus LV 500, a sporty muscle coupe with 467 horsepower. Powered by same naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 found in the GSF and RCF, this new Lexus LC 500 will be available with styling that’s shockingly identical to the original concept car. This new engine will be available at online auto parts superstore.

Underpinning the LC is an all new structure that includes aluminum; carbon fiber reinforced plastic and high-strength steel. It is claimed that torsional rigidity is better in this model than the all-carbon LF A supercar.

Lexus LC 500 will be able to generate 470 horsepower that is more than enough to propel the model forward. Unlike GS F and RC F, this upcoming vehicle of Lexus will not use eight-speed ‘Sport-Direct-Shift’ automatic transmission. On the technology front, 2017 LC 500 will be available with an optional package that includes all the driver-assistance goodies Lexus offers. It comprises of all-speed dynamic cruise control, collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist and automatic high-beams. Also optional on LC 500 is carbon-fiber roof that will be replacing the standard panoramic glass.

Lexus confirmed to AS Auto Parts Blog that LC 500 coupe will come to market sometime next year with LS sport sedan. Other details and pricing of LC 500 will be revealed near to its launch in 2017.
